Barton Seagrave is a village and civil parish in the Kettering borough of Northamptonshire, England. The Domesday Book records the village name as Bertone. The village is a suburb of Kettering and about 1.5 miles south-east of the town centre.
Barton Seagrave has its own Parish Council and forms the Barton ward of Kettering Borough Council. There are local shops, a local pub, schools and historic buildings in the village. The population of the village is around 4,100.
The Village enjoys a very rural location, surrounded by the Wicksteed estate to the west and farm land, woods and spinneys elsewhere. Recent planning permission for new homes by Redrow have been approved and there is a longer term plan to build a large new housing and facilities development - called Kettering East - to the north and east of the village.
On this web site we aim to bring news and developments on these matters and more. You can find a link on our Parish Council & MP page to access recent Council meeting minutes and agenda's for forthcoming meetings.
